Jointly organized by Korea Economic Broadcasting and Hankyung Media Group, the Global Financial Conference was first held in 2009 with the attendance of the former US President Bill Clinton, Paul Krugman, 2008 Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences, and other noted guests under the theme of the “Future of the World Economy after the Global Financial Crisis”, and has since tried to find the directions for the Korean economy to take with the attendance of a number of well-known economists and experts from home and abroad.
